The Shed

Almost two years after moving into the house we had a lot of yard tools that were being stored in the garage and under the small deck in the back. This was inconvenient and the tools were getting weathered. We knew that a shed was needed but we didn't know where to put it. Once the pine trees were taken down in the front of the house a spot along the driveway open up. Sean would have liked to built a shed but we found that the savings wouldn't of been worth the time so a 12x20 High Dutch Barn was ordered from Brad's Barns right up the road from us.

	(Click on any picture to enlarge it) What the side yard looked like after knocking down the pine trees. The grade has two slopes. We moved rock and dirt from the around the property to create a pad for the shed.
	The right corner had to be raised around three feet. Much more that expected. The pad is pretty level even though it doesn't look it.
	Ryan was added for perspective. The shed was backed onto the pad.
	The garage side is placed first. The trailer is slowly moved away. The end of the trailer is able to shift the shed sideways by about another foot.
	All ready to go. No leveling was required. The side door will be used by the kids to get their things.
	The colors matched the house pretty closely. Was worried about settling on the high corner but the pad held up. The trailer caused some ruts when it compacted the rock down. Added a 4x4 under the back side as a precaution.
	Spent two days adding storage options. Added the top shelf first. Then a bike rack.
	Added a shelf above the bike rack next. Then finished off with a work bench, shelving, peg board and tool racks.
	Fully loaded. Painting the doors and landscaping is next on the list.
